It’s been more than 1½ years since little Merilda (3 years) had a proper meal. When she fell sick 18 months ago with vomiting, high fever and diarrhea, all that the doctor had said was that she lacked nutrition.

Our Work in Sri Lanka

We've been working alongside the most vulnerable children, families and communities in Sri Lanka since 1977 to overcome poverty and injustice. Currently World Vision is present in 27 locations in 14 districts in Sri Lanka directly serving learly 100,000 children and their families regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation. 

 Working through our long-term development programmes, advocact and relief responses, we focus on health and nutrition, WASH, economic development and child protection and participation. Interwoven to all our programmes are environment stwardship, gender equity and disability and social inclusion.
