World Vision International in Cambodia
World Vision commenced work in Cambodia in 1970. Our focus is on helping the most vulnerable girls and boys overcome poverty so they can experience the fullness of life now and in the future.
Inspired by our Christian faith, our work reaches children no matter their background or if they live in the most dangerous of places.
We are driven by our desire to ensure that every girl and boy has what they need to grow in mind, body, and spirit. Every day, more than 500 staff work hard to empower children to live lives filled with joy, become all that Jesus created them to be, and go further than they could ever have imagined. Guided by more than 50 years of experience and expertise, our dedicated staff employ proven, effective development and relief practices to empower communities to become self-sufficient and bring real, lasting change.
World Vision’s approach revolves around empowering communities to address the root causes of poverty and our Child Well-being Strategy aims to positively impact over 5 million girls and boys in Cambodia by 2027. Key objectives include fostering positive and peaceful relationships within families and communities, enhancing protection from violence, improving nutritional status, increasing literacy rates among primary school children, promoting adaption and mitigation of impacts of climate changes, as well as improving education, health and commune administration services through facilitating dialogue and collaboration with service providers and citizens.
