Africa's youth speak on their experiences during COVID-19
Earlier this year, World Vision conducted a research to explore children and young people’s reflections and perceptions on the COVID-19 outbreak. Hear from youth across the African continent on what it's been like to cope during a global pandemic, and learn how they are remaining hopeful and encouraging others to stay safe.
As we continue to carry out our COVID-19 response in 26 African countries, World Vision took part in discussions at #DayOfTheAfricanChild Webinar by the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) on 16 June; discussing access to justice for children in vulnerable situations, with focus on normative standards & practices in Africa.
Listening to children in the context of COVID-19 is part of how World Vision is meeting our commitment to place children and young people at the centre of our work, focus on their empowerment, and amplify their voices from local to global levels. We will continually seek children and young people’s perspectives to understand their realities and inform decision-making processes based on their input.
