From natural disasters and mass displacement to deepening food insecurity and harsh winter storms, FY24 tested Afghanistan in every way. But amid these compounding crises, World Vision Afghanistan expanded its reach and reaffirmed its mission to stand with the most vulnerable. We worked across 34 districts and more than 3,200 villages across Herat, Badghis, Ghor, Faryab, and Nangahar provinces, delivering critical assistance to over 1.2 million people, nearly half of them children.
FY24 Highlights:
- 28 projects delivered
- USD 50.9 million in aid provided (cash & GIK)
- 877 staff (regular and stipend)
- 705,133 people accessed health & nutrition services
- 169,381 people accessed clean water, sanitation & hygiene
- 18 water systems built or rehabilitated
- 296,796 people supported with food, cash, and livelihoods
- 31,788 people received protection support
- 238,364 reached through emergency response
