World Vision Sudan Annual Report 2024
Wednesday, January 15, 2025

In 2024, Sudan faced one of its most challenging years as conflict and displacement affected millions, including over 25.6 million acutely food-insecure individuals. Skyrocketing inflation, insecurity, and resource shortages exacerbated the already dire humanitarian crisis, leaving vulnerable children and families in urgent need of support.

In response, World Vision Sudan, in collaboration with partners, implemented life-saving and long-term programs across Food Security, Health, WASH, and Child Protection sectors. Our interventions reached over 2.8 million people, including 1.5 million children, providing food aid, clean water, emergency healthcare, and psychosocial support in the most affected regions.

Some key highlights of the report:

  • A message from our National Director, reflecting on resilience amid adversity.
  • Comprehensive sectoral achievements, including distribution of 7,000 metric tons of food and training of 737 health workers.
  • Stories of hope and transformation, such as Saifedin, a young tailor rebuilding his life, and Tsion, a child overcoming trauma in a safe space.
  • Insights into our Sudan Crisis and Migration Emergency Response (SCRAMER) initiative, safeguarding displaced populations across Sudan and neighbouring countries.
  • Testimonies from frontline staff and beneficiaries showcasing the tangible impact of our efforts.

Despite unprecedented challenges, World Vision remains committed to safeguarding the dignity and well-being of the most vulnerable children and their families in Sudan.
