World Vision Sudan 2023 Annual Report
Thursday, March 21, 2024

Since the conflict began on April 15 2023 in Sudan, the needs have continued to grow. Over 8.2 million people, out of which over 3 million are children, are displaced. Humanitarian access within Sudan remains challenging, with severe obstacles for humanitarian organizations, such as World Vision, to assist people in need.

Food insecurity remains a key issue in Sudan with an estimated 20.3 million people – 42 per cent of the population – face acute food insecurity. About 3.5 million children under five are acutely malnourished, of whom 700,000 suffer from severe acute malnourishment.

Despite the significant disruptions and challenges, World Vision managed to reach over 1.2 million people between October 2022 and September 2023 across all our operational states in Sudan.

The 2023 Annual Report highlights the positive impact World Vision Sudan programmes had in our operational areas.
