WV Bangladesh Annual Report 2023
DownloadWorld Vision Bangladesh is marking more than half a century of working to improve the lives of children, families, and communities living in poverty and injustice. In the past fifty years, we have contributed to empowering and transforming the lives of children, families, and communities. In FY23, World Vision Bangladesh has reached 6.5 million people, including 4.5 million children, through its various sectoral interventions like maternal and child health and nutrition, WASH, education, child protection, climate change and adaptation, humanitarian and emergency affairs, gender equality and social inclusion, etc. Significant this year was our focus on declaring 152 child marriage-free villages in conjunction with the local government and the communities. We transformed 169 villages into eco-villages, adopting climate-adaptive livelihoods and environment-friendly technologies. We also established 119 GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion)-friendly green schools. In this quest, WVB continues to measure its carbon footprint across the country with a view to making changes and ensuring we lead by example. There is still, however, much to be done. With your continued support, we look forward to collaborating further and scaling our work to bring about greater impact and transformation in the lives of every child in Bangladesh.
