Child-Led Research: The Impacts of Climate Change and Disasters on Children and Youth in Three Provinces
DownloadA group of young researchers from Cambodia conducted a study on the impacts of climate change and disasters on children in three provinces: Kampong Chhanang, Banteay Meanchey, and Kampong Thom. Motivated by their own experiences with extreme heat, flooding, and drought, they aimed to understand how these events affect children's lives, schooling, and well-being. The research explored children's personal experiences, the impacts on various aspects of their lives, their knowledge and preparedness for disasters, preferred information sources, and their ideas for contributing to climate action and disaster risk reduction efforts.
