How the data generated by citizens in the Implementation of Social Accountability Framework (ISAF) can be used to report on the Sustainable Development Goals 16.6.2
DownloadThe indicator SDG 16.6.2 focus on the satisfaction of citizens with the quality (and availability) of essential public services (healthcare, education and administrative services). It aims at measuring if governments are progressing toward the development of effective, accountable and transparent institutions. However, only a few countries measure routinely this indicator on a national scale and developing a survey to collect this data may be costly and complex.
In Cambodia, since 2015, the Implementation of the Social Accountability Framework focuses on enhancing the accountability of subnational administrations to improve local service delivery. Generating a lot of data on the satisfaction of the service users, it offers a unique possibility for Cambodia to report on the indicator 16.6.2. This document presents some recommendations to make the most of this opportunity.
