Venezuela Crisis Response Update March 2024
Download2024 witnesses a significant rise in irregular migration in Latin America. Venezuelans lead, with other nationalities like Ecuadorians, Haitians, Colombians, and diverse Asian and African groups. For instance, in the Darién Gap, by May 22, 2024, about 160,000 crossed, 64% Venezuelan, and 1 in 5 are minors. Mexico remains critical despite reduced crossings due to US migration policies. Children separated, unaccompanied, and irregular groups violating migrant rights are common.
Since 2019, World Vision's multi-country response 'Hope Without Borders' aids vulnerable migrants. By March 2024, 2.10 million essential services delivered, including Food Security, Rights Protection, Socioeconomic Integration, and Mental Health Support, with focus on minors.
Amidst escalating crisis, we urge international community to join our humanitarian mission. Together, let's change lives, supporting migrants with safety and dignity. Support World Vision's actions today!"
