FULFILLING OUR COMMITMENT TO THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN

The year 2024 has been challenging but fruitful as World Vision Tanzania embarked on a new journey to improve the lives of children through various innovative interventions.

As a Christian relief, development, and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, in 2024 we have continued to collaborate with families, communities, local, national, and global partners, as well as a range of other stakeholders.

It has been a journey of 44 years working in Tanzania, and to date, we have supported children to play an active role within their families, enriching and transforming their lives to be full of promise and hope.

We have mobilised a voice of truth against injustice, and continuously challenge ourselves and others to do the best for those we assist since 1981 through Area Programme models and Grants projects, which specifically cover defined geographical areas within 16 regions of mainland Tanzania.

This year’s Annual Report (FY24) marks the fourth year of implementing World Vision Tanzania’s National Strategy for 2021-2025. The strategy, which is a promise to the most vulnerable children, ensures that we persistently work for them to achieve life in all its fullness. We do this in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year, our Annual Report focuses on the following key areas:

  • Our commitment to the most vulnerable children.
  • Gaining insight into the progress made in implementing our 2024 strategic plan.
  • Learning more about our child well-being objectives.
  • Discovering the various initiatives we are undertaking to end child malnutrition in Tanzania.

There is more in the report that highlights key achievements that we at World Vision Tanzania are proud to have accomplished alongside the communities we work with. This year, we have had a number of interventions performing well, from Health and Nutrition, Education, Child Protection, Advocacy, Faith and Development, to Livelihood and Resilience. None of this would have been possible without YOU!

THANK YOU
