MOLE Conference: World Vision Ghana strengthens its commitment to advance WASH goals
By Rachel Baiden, Project Officer | Enhancing WASH Project
World Vision Ghana, as part of its commitment to promoting excellence in water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), sponsored the winners of the 2nd Baobab District WASH Awards, Sagnarigu Municipal, Mion and Karaga District Assemblies to attend the 35th Mole WASH Conference.
Organised by the Coalition of NGOs in Water and Sanitation (CONIWAS), the conference is a key platform for promoting sustainable WASH investments and practices across Ghana.
The Baobab District WASH Awards, established in collaboration with Global Communities and partners, aims to recognise and reward Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainable WASH service delivery.
This initiative highlights their achievements and enables the winning assemblies to showcase their investment opportunities on wider platforms.
At the Mole WASH Conference, the winners gained valuable exposure to policymakers, WASH practitioners, corporate leaders, donors, NGOs, civil society organisations, and researchers, opening doors for strategic partnerships and investment.
A dedicated exhibition space allowed MMDAs to present their WASH investment plans directly to the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, attracting significant interest from sector agencies and NGOs.
Through this sponsorship, World Vision Ghana reaffirms its commitment to empowering local governments and driving progress in sustainable water and sanitation service delivery.
By raising the visibility of these MMDAs, the organisation is fostering an environment where WASH innovation and investment can thrive, helping to shape a healthier and more resilient future for communities across Ghana.
