In partnership with 22 denominations and para-church organisations, World Vision recently hosted a landmark conference to develop the National Creation Care Framework in Ghana. This initiative aims to guide the Christian community in Ghana to address environmental degradation and climate change through proactive and faith-based environmental stewardship.

The conference brought together church leaders, Christian organisations, and theological institutions to tackle Ghana's pressing ecological challenges including illegal mining, deforestation, poor sanitation, and climate change. Organisers emphasised that the ecological crisis is exacerbated by population growth, wasteful resource use, leadership failures, and the decline of moral values for environmental sustainability. The framework positions the Church as a key player in reversing ecological damage, equipping communities with a biblical mandate to care for creation and avoid "ecological sin."

The National Creation Care Framework is expected to inspire church-led initiatives and collaborative actions to address the ecological challenges facing Ghana while advancing the global mission of environmental sustainability. This framework represents a call to action for the faith community to rise to the challenge of climate sustainability, ensuring a healthier environment for future generations.

A Faithful Commitment to Our Planet

As the National Creation Care Framework takes root, it symbolises a united and faithful commitment to our planet. By embracing this framework, Ghana's Christian community is poised to lead the way in environmental stewardship, demonstrating that faith and action can indeed go hand in hand to create a sustainable future for all.
