World Vision Ghana and the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, partners in the empowerment of communities and the promotion of sustainable development
In a significant step towards enhancing commitment to community development, World Vision Ghana (WVG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation on March 7, 2024. The occasion marked a milestone in the journey towards creating a lasting impact in the lives of Ghanaian communities.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the World Vision Ghana premises in the multi-purpose conference hall and brought together representatives from both organizations, including key executives and stakeholders. In an atmosphere of anticipation and enthusiasm, the agreement was formalised, cementing a partnership focused on empowering communities and promoting sustainable development for water, sanitation and health (WASH) initiatives in the Damang-Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region of Ghana.
Through this $1 million partnership, World Vision Ghana and the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation will leverage their expertise and resources to address pressing social issues with a focus on increasing access to safe water, promoting sustainability, strengthening water governance, fostering innovative solutions and prioritising inclusivity. This will ensure the healthy wellbeing of children, their families and communities through improved livelihoods. By joining forces for 12 months and working together towards common goals, World Vision Ghana and Gold Fields Ghana Foundation aim to maximise their impact and create positive change.
