17 breadwinners birthed at Mhlangatane Area Programme
Aiming to ensure that every family attains financial stability in order to provide enough food and care for their children, World Vision Eswatini, in partnership with Sebenta National Institute, officially certificated 17 young men and women that were enrolled for a 6-month vocational skills training.
These graduates hail from 9 communities under WVE's Mhlangatane Area Programme: Mpofu, Sdvwashini, Nyakatfo, Mangweni, Zinyane, Ndvwabangeni, Mavula, Malibeni and Nhlangayavuka.
Through WV Eswatini 's Livelihood technical programme, 10 females enrolled in sewing training whilst the other 7 males were equipped with electrical wiring skills.
Speaking at the ceremony, Zodwa Masuku, a sewing graduate, said the skills gained would help them provide enough bread for their families;
"There's nothing as satisfying as being able to provide for your family's needs. With my sewing skills, I will be able to meet my husband halfway in guaranteeing that our children have enough food", she said.
These classes that were held at Ekujabuleni Holiness Primary School and all fees for the 17 students were fully supported by World Vision Eswatini (about USD5340).
From fashion parades to gallery walks, the ceremony was indeed astounding. Congratulations graduates, we are so proud of you!
