Africa Day of School Feeding 2025

Paidamoyo, a passionate young leader from Makoni, Zimbabwe, is at the forefront of the fight against child hunger and malnutrition. As a child councilor, she advocates for the well-being of her peers, understanding that a hungry child cannot learn, grow, or dream.

Her mission aligns with the African Day of School Feeding, a day that underscores the vital role of school meals in transforming children's lives.

For many children in Zimbabwe and across Africa, a school meal is more than just food—it’s a lifeline. It keeps them in school, improves concentration, and gives them the energy to reach their full potential. However, with recurring droughts and food shortages, thousands of children face the harsh reality of learning on empty stomachs.

World Vision’s #ENOUGH Campaign is working alongside communities like Makoni to combat child hunger through school feeding programs, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition initiatives.

As we celebrate the African Day of School Feeding, let’s stand with young leaders like Paidamoyo to ensure that no child has to go to school hungry, because when children are nourished, they can dream bigger, learn better, and achieve more.
