Seyong Park

Director of Strategy & Innovation, East Asia

He is responsible for providing strategic direction and innovation solutions to the East Asia region office including field offices (FOs) like Cambodia, China, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, North Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. 

He also oversees the technical sector portfolios including climate change and gender equality and social inclusion. As part of the East Asia Regional Office leadership team, he ensures the regional strategic priorities are aligned with the World Vision Global Strategy and collaboration across teams to implement 'Our Promise' successfully. 

He is responsible for:

- Providing support to the field office in strategy development and business planning

- Provide support for optimal funding allocation across FOs

- Support monitoring the progress of FO strategies and business plans

- Promote the learning and sharing of innovative practices among FOs

- Problem-solving for key regional strategic issues

Seyong has been with the World Vision East Asia Regional Office since 2011. Before joining World Vision, he worked with Shinyoung Securities, Goldman Sachs, and McKinsey & Company for over 10 years. He has extensive expertise in corporate strategy, strategic planning, economic/financial analysis, etc. He is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He has a B.A. in Economics from Yonsei University in Korea and an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in the US. He also studied in Nanzan University, Nagoya, Japan as an exchange student.
