Emily joins us with some 15 years of experience in child-focused development in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and East Africa regions. She began her career in philanthropy as a fundraiser for WASH with charity: water, continuing for nearly a decade with World Vision US as a communications officer (linking donors to the work they invest in) and as a programme manager (coordinating the planning, implementation and monitoring of our field WASH programmes). More recently she consulted with World Vision US as a senior technical writer.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami and a Masters in Global Affairs from New York University.  She was born and raised in New York City with Puerto Rican origins. She currently lives in Luzern, Switzerland with her husband Lukas and her twin daughters.

She is fluent in English, Spanish and German. Emily enjoys dancing (formerly a Bollywood dance teacher), traveling, and cooking. She and her family currently attend and serve at the International Church of Luzern, where Emily serves on the worship and missions teams.
