Jeremiah Nyagah

National Director for World Vision Uganda

Jeremiah Nyagah is the National Director for World Vision Uganda, with a distinguished career in humanitarian work and international development spanning over 24 years. He has previously held various roles at Pathfinder International, Child Fund, and World Vision Kenya.

Jeremiah holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Egerton University (Kenya), a postgraduate degree in Development Studies from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and a Master's degree in Organisational Leadership from Africa International University in Kenya.

As a leader, Jeremiah has served on several boards, including the Global Bag Project, Vision Fund Kenya (VFK), Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network (UWASNET), and Vision Fund Uganda (VFU). He is passionate about leadership, governance, community transformation, and organisational change. Jeremiah is also a mentor and coach, actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) student ministry, Vessel of Honour Ministry, and the Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI).

Jeremiah is dedicated to leadership development and empowering others to thrive in their leadership journeys, believing that effective leadership is a catalyst for sustainable change in individuals and organisations. He is a strong advocate for vulnerable children, firmly believing that every child deserves a chance to thrive and live a fulfilled life. His work is guided by the biblical principle from Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord... since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward."

Jeremiah is married to Dr. Esther Nyagah, and they are blessed with three daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and volunteering in various community and family therapy engagements.
