Nexus-based programming takes shape in Uganda refugee response
Protracted conflict and instability in South Sudan leave little hope that South Sudanese refugees will soon be able to return home safely. In this context, strategies to support greater self-reliance and resilience for refugees in Uganda over the longer term are a logical response for the government, its development partners, and implementing organisations. Humanitarian nexus, development, and peace-building action is a vital act of solidarity with highly vulnerable children, women, and men living in fragile contexts.

Safe boarding facilities a gateway to girls' education in Sinazongwe
Lack of boarding facilities and secondary schools is one of the major contributing factors to child marriages in Zambia. Pupils, especially girls, are forced to rent houses near their schools to attend lessons; which has put them at risk of being abused by unscrupulous men who take advantage of their vulnerable state. To protect and promote girls’ education in Sinazongwe, World Vision, with funding from Lake Grove Church, constructed safe boarding facilities to accommodate vulnerable girls' schooling at Mamba GRZ Basic School.
