Regreening Homa Bay: Using trees to boost food security and tackle climate change

الخميس, أكتوبر 27, 2022

World Vision's Re-greening Africa Project, funded by the European Union, is helping communities in Homa Bay County, Kenya, to reverse land degradation by encouraging smallholder farmers to grow trees in their farms and revive existing ones. The trees help to increase crop yields and boost livestock production. Consequently, they help cushion communities from the adverse effects of climate change such as droughts and floods. World Vision is implementing the project in collaboration with the World Agroforestry (ICRAF), the Government of Kenya, among other partners.
