About Us
Our Vision
For each child, life in all its fullness; our prayer for each being, the will to achieve it.
World Vision is an international humanitarian, advocacy and development non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on the well-being of children, their families and communities.
Our Goal
"Contribute to the well-being of 6,500,000 children (girls and boys), especially the most vulnerable allowing them to experience life in all its fullness by 2020."
Our Approach
In the implementation of its activities, World Vision Chad uses a community-based approach and works closely with children, families, communities, local authorities and partners. World Vision Chad listens to families and their concerns so that the support they receive will produce lasting changes for children. We work in six provinces of Chad through nine integrated development programs (IDPs).
In addition to these development programs, World Vision Chad intervenes in emergency situations with a Humanitarian Response in the province of Lake Chad, Mandoul and Nya-pende.
Our Principles
World Vision targets the most vulnerable children and their families and carries out its interventions through a multi-sectoral approach in the following areas: health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene, education and life skills, food security and resilience, child protection and participation and advocacy.
Partnership for Change:
A partnership for change that builds strong relationships by working closely with Community Based Organisations, Faith-Based Organisations and local, national and international Non Governmental Organisations to ensure that assistance to target communities is effective.
Alignment with Government Strategy:
Alignment with Government strategy allows our programme approach to be aligned with the orientations, strategies and programmes of the Chadian government in order to have a greater impact on development.
Community Ownership:
Communities decide and validate their own development priorities and choose to work alongside World Vision to achieve their goals. Community engagement, community ownership and active citizenship are key to the success of World Vision's work.
