World Vision Papua New Guinea
Since its founding in 1950, World Vision (WV) has stood as a beacon of compassion and change, empowering children, families, and communities worldwide to rise above poverty and injustice, without distinction of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
In Papua New Guinea (PNG), we have been a steadfast partner for over 40 years, bringing global expertise and a deep local commitment to some of the country’s most pressing challenges. Leveraging the strength of an international partnership, we work with communities to drive sustainable, impactful solutions that foster resilience and opportunity.
With an annual grant portfolio of USD 35 million (120 million PGK), We lead vital programming in Education, Health, Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Social Cohesion, and Peacebuilding.
Supported by institutional and multilateral donors, we are active in 12 of PNG’s 22 provinces, working across six field offices in the National Capital District, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Morobe, Madang, Southern Highlands, and Western Provinces, and extending our reach through partners across the nation.
Our mission aligns closely with the goals of the Government of Papua New Guinea, targeting the most vulnerable, particularly children, in hard-to-reach areas.
By working alongside communities, civil society, private sector stakeholders, NGOs, faith-based groups, and government agencies, we foster community empowerment and champion local ownership.
Our approach is guided by a commitment to dignity, resilience, and opportunity, ensuring every program we deliver builds a foundation for lasting change.
