Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP)

Participatory processes have been a part of local governance and decentralisation initiatives led by the Royal Government of Cambodia since the mid-1990s. In 2015, the government launched the Implementation of the Social Accountability Framework (ISAF) to improve local services through community empowerment, citizen monitoring and enhanced local dialogue with local authorities.

With additional funds from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australian Government through the World Bank group, World Vision International in Cambodia will implement the project, engaging citizens to improve service delivery through social accountability with the Environmental and Social Standards (ESSs). This Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) sets out material measures and actions, any specific documents or plans, and the timing for each.
