World Vision Uganda is committed to improving the well-being of children. The organisation has joined efforts with other actors to address the needs of South Sudanese refugee children in Adjumani District, Northern Uganda. In partnership with UNICEF, WVU is implementing a peace building, participation and psychosocial support project as part of the response to the refugee influx. The success of the project is attributed to its integration with other existing interventions. These include: child friendly spaces (CFSs); early childhood development; inclusive WASH, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF); and food distribution. All these are implemented in partnership with UNICEF, World Food Programme (WFP), Office of the Prime Minister, UNHCR and Adjumani District Local Government.

Empowering Children as Peace Builders (ECaP) model has proven to be a key approach in building a supportive and safe environment for all children to participate in peace building. This magazine highlights success stories and best practices of the different child-led initiatives under this project.
